Every cell produced in BIG SUN is inspected by stringent QC procedures and every major manufacturing step is closely monitored to ensure any deviation in process is alerted and solved at the earliest time, through in-line monitoring and SPC review. In addition, novel measurements such as EL and thermal imagining accompanied with microscope are also used for in-process monitoring for microcrack and hotspot that may impose significant risks in module fabrication, CTM loss, and product safety. For product/process reliability qualification and conformance monitoring, we have in-house cell-based environmental testing includes temperature cycle test, damp heat test following module testing guideline as defined in IEC61215. Moreover, hot water testing is also implemented to ensure the integrity of backside Al. Outdoor exposure tests is conducted to monitor the effect of light induced decay (LID) on conversion efficiency. Mechanical testing includes breakage strength, peeling test and soldering test.
